We are a registered animal welfare charity (No. 20070602003) run by a volunteer group dedicated to the care and welfare of the many stray dogs and cats that live on the streets of Bulgaria. Through spaying and neutering of stray animals, public education and re-homing, our mission is to ensure that every dog in Bulgaria is eventually given the chance of a life where it is cared for and treated with kindness and understanding to ensure a safe and happy future.
We rely solely on volunteers and donations from animal welfare supporters to continue our work. If you would like to get involved please see the DONATE, ADOPT A PET, BSAPP VARNA, VOLUNTEER and HOW YOU CAN HELP pages.
To learn more about BSAPP, the stray cat and dog situation in Bulgaria and what we are doing to help, please see the ABOUT US, SITUATION IN BULGARIA, SUCCESS STORIES and NEWS pages.
Can you temporarily foster one of our "oldies" for the winter and get them out of the cold?

We desperately need help taking care of some of our rescues as our animal center is now over capacity and the health and wellbeing of our animals is being compromised as a result.
Foster care is perfect for anyone who loves animals and would like a pet, yet perhaps does not plan to stay in Bulgaria long term or want the lifelong commitment of a pet. We welcome foster carers both for short or long term foster care as any foster care helps to familiarise our former street animals with family life.
If you would like to help care for one of our animals, perhaps even help with the rehabilitation of one of our convalescing animals with our guidance please get in contact with us today, or for more information about being a BSAPP Foster Carer please see our Fostering page.
Thank you!
